Ingredient Spotlight

Citrus Odor Blocker

Triethyl Citrate, a naturally derived deodorant active sourced from citrus fruit, helps prevent body odor without disrupting the skin’s natural microbiome. The skin under the arms is home to millions of bacteria, some of which metabolize sweat into strong smelling sulfur and ammonia compounds. By blocking the enzyme these bacteria use to break down sweat, it helps control odor at its source. Combined with other ingredients that support the skin’s naturally acidic pH, it helps maintain a healthy balance of microorganisms within the skin’s flora—without affecting the body’s natural ability to sweat.

Grape Alcohol

“I thought alcohol was bad for skin?” While ethanol and isopropyl alcohol can be harsh in high concentrations, the ethanol we use is botanically derived, not petroleum-based. Sourced from agricultural crops like grapes, it’s the same type of alcohol found in fermented drinks like wine and is used with intention as an effective antimicrobial and preservation booster. The use of grape spirits as a cleansing agent is a practice as old as time—even Jesus’ parable of the Good Samaritan notes the use of wine to cleanse wounds. In our deodorant, a small amount of grape alcohol—produced following organic practices—helps neutralize odor-causing microorganisms. It’s not a filler; it’s part of a purification system that shows ancestral wisdom can align with modern science.
